Sisterhood | Congregation Torat El - Monmouth County Conservative Synagogue

Sisterhood

Sisterhood strives to bond Jewish women of all generations, provide services to our synagogue and its children, and to enrich the lives of those we touch. We organize fundraisers with the proceeds benefiting the temple. We also send holiday packages to our member’s children who are in college and the military.

Activities and Events:

  • Hamantashen Bake-A-Thon
  • Torah Fund Dinner
  • Annual Rummage Sale
  • Social & Educational Programs
  • Joint Men’s Club/Sisterhood Chanukah Party
  • Annual Mah Jong Tournament
  • Shalach Manot
  • Holiday College Packages

As a new member of the temple, your first year’s Sisterhood dues are complimentary.  Sisterhood activities are very diverse – hoping to offer something for everyone.  To become involved, or for more information, contact the temple office or email sisterhood@torat-el.org. We look forward to seeing you at upcoming events.

Congregation Torat El’s Sisterhood is a chapter of the Garden State Region of Women’s League for Conservative Judaism.  The mission of Women’s League for Conservative Judaism is to strengthen and unite synagogue women’s groups, their members and individual members; support them in mutual efforts to understand and perpetuate Conservative/Masorti Judaism in the home, synagogue, and community; and reinforce their bonds with Israel and Jews worldwide.
