MEET THE AUTHOR COMES TO ZOOM!
Meet Max Gross, author of The Lost Shtetl
Kreskol is the setting for The Lost Shtetl, a wise and funny novel, which has been compared to Brigadoon and the writing of Isaac Bashevas Singer. The Polish hamlet was forgotten by the Nazis during WWII, sparing its residents the horrors of the Holocaust. When the story begins, Kreskol has been thrust into the present, and the chaos that ensues allows the author to tell a story about history, prejudice, and the persistence of anti-Semitism.
Max Gross is a staff reporter for the New York Post and also writes a column for the Forward called “The Hapless Jewish Writer.” The Lost Shtetl is his debut novel.
