2. Interested in going to Israel? The Jewish Federation of Monmouth County is sponsoring a Mega Mission to Israel in October 2014. Upcoming  Mission to the Jewish Community of Cuba

In a little over a month (Feb. 16-23), members of our community (and some of their friends near and far) will be traveling on a mission to the Jewish community of Cuba. With over twenty people joining us, we are all getting very excited for our upcoming journey! During this tzedakah mission, we will learn about the Jewish community in Cuba, and provide much needed funds and basic necessities to that community.

As a group we are collecting specific items for each community that we are going visit. If you are not joining us, but wish to contribute to this endeavor, you can help by bringing cash donations, or gift cards to Costco or CVS to the synagogue office  by Friday February 7th. These donations will enable us to buy some of the medicines and supplies that are needed in the Jewish community of Cuba.

I am looking forward to sharing stories of our adventure on our return!!
