This past week the world lost a great leader and peacemaker with the death of Nelson Mandela. Below are a few articles that circulated in the Jewish community reflecting upon this loss. As Jews, we are obligated to work tirelessly to bring more peace, justice and equality into our world. As you read these articles and watch the coverage of Mandela’s funeral, I invite you to think about the small ways in which you can work to bring more shelmut (peace and wholeness), and more tzedek, (justice), into the lives of all whom you encounter on a daily basis.

Yehe Zichrono Baukh- May the memory of Nelson Mandela be for a blessing.
