Monday Morning Message – November 19, 2012

I read an article this morning in an Israeli online paper claiming that there is a 50 percent chance that a truce will soon be reached between Gaza and Israel and a 50 percent chance that things will get much worse before they get better. As we hope and pray for a peaceful solution to this latest conflict, our hearts remain with our brothers and sisters in Israel. As I am sure you are reading and hearing plenty of political commentary, below are a few articles and resources with which you may not be familiar. May we soon see a peaceful resolution to this latest conflict.

1. A few reflections from my colleagues in Israel

  Rabbi Barry Leff, Jerusalem

  Rabbi Maurcio Baltar- Beer Sheva

  2. An Israeli Hospital treating patients from Gaza

3.Global Jewish Organizations providing services to those in need

  4. The Jewish Agency for Israel takes thousands of Israeli children and teens on a field trip to take a break from the rocket fire:

  5. A useful resource for describing the conflict to children ages 6-13
